In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ كَمَفْحَصِ قَطَاةٍ أَوْ أَصْغَرَ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ
“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, even if it is as small as a bird’s nest, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
Building a masjid is one of the most virtuous acts in Islam—a Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) that benefits the community and earns endless rewards from Allah (SWT). The masjid is not just a place of worship; it is a center of learning, unity, and spiritual growth.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ
“The mosques of Allah are maintained only by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day.” (Qur’an 9:18)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
إِذَا مَاتَ الْإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ: إِلَّا مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ، أَوْ عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ، أَوْ وَلَدٍ صَالِحٍ يَدْعُو لَهُ**
“When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, or a righteous child who prays for him.” (Muslim)
